Fundamental Skills

  • Dribbling: We teach players various dribbling techniques, including crossovers, between-the-legs dribbles, and behind-the-back dribbles. We emphasize ball control, change of direction, and dribbling under pressure.  
  • Passing: We focus on chest passes, bounce passes, and overhead passes. We teach players the importance of accuracy, timing, and proper passing mechanics.
  • Shooting: We cover a variety of shooting techniques, including free throws, jump shots, and layups. We emphasize proper shooting form, follow-through, and consistent shooting mechanics.
  • Rebounding: We teach players how to box out, time their jumps, and secure rebounds. We also emphasize the importance of rebounding for both offense and defense.
  • Defense: We teach players how to defend effectively, including stance, footwork, and hand positioning. We also cover defensive strategies, such as guarding on-ball and off-ball players.

Tactical Awareness

  • Offensive Strategies: We teach players how to run various offensive sets, including pick-and-roll, high-low post, and motion offense. We emphasize spacing, ball movement, and player movement.  
  • Defensive Strategies: We teach players how to defend different offensive sets, including man-to-man and zone defenses. We emphasize communication, rotations, and help-side defense.
  • Game Situations: We simulate various game situations, such as end-of-game scenarios and fast-break opportunities, to help players develop decision-making skills and improve their execution.  

Physical Conditioning

  • Strength Training: We incorporate strength training exercises to improve players’ muscle strength and power. We focus on compound exercises that target multiple muscle groups, such as squats, lunges, and push-ups.
  • Speed and Agility Training: We use drills and exercises to improve players’ speed, quickness, and agility. We focus on lateral movement, acceleration, and deceleration.
  • Endurance Training: We incorporate interval training and continuous running to improve players’ cardiovascular fitness and endurance.
  • Plyometrics: We use plyometric exercises, such as box jumps and depth jumps, to improve players’ explosive power and jumping ability.
